New York Solar Farms
Locally-generated, 100% renewable solar power for the Hudson Valley
Our New York Community Solar Farms
Clearway Community Solar is proud to support New York’s Clean Energy Standard to fight climate change. These renewable energy projects are not only helping the state meet its renewable energy goals but also helping make it more accessible for New York residents and small businesses to support local, 100% solar power – no roof required.
The Community Solar Impact
With solar farms across the state, Clearway is creating clean energy and providing affordable solar options for New York. Residents in the Hudson Valley area or other counties, like Ulster County, can join Clearway Community Solar farms and still choose their energy provider.

Community Solar Farms In New York
The state of New York is committed to using clean energy for electricity by 2030. This is the main goal of New York’s Clean Energy Standard (CES) that aims to have 70 percent of the electricity used in the state generated from renewable energy sources by the year 2030. Solar energy plays a significant role in reaching this goal, along with wind power and hydropower. Community Solar farms not only capture the inexhaustible power from the sun to turn into electricity, but they also make adopting solar power more accessible to everyone.
Just as we produce energy in Massachusetts, Illinois and other places, Clearway Community Solar has eight active solar farms in the Hudson Valley, helping New York’s effort to reach its clean energy goal. The largest of our solar farms is the Minisink Solar Farm. It has two functioning facilities with more than 16,000 solar panels. In total, Clearway’s solar farms create over 30 million KwH that help offset energy costs for more than 3,800 customers. Our customers are from all across the Hudson Valley, from Dutchess County to Ulster County.
It’s easy to start supporting renewable energy and save on your energy bill. New York residents can subscribe to their local Community Solar program and the solar farms deliver energy to the local power grid. In turn, Community Solar subscribers can see cost reductions on their utility bill in the form of solar bill credits. There’s no need to worry about installing solar panels on your home – we take care of everything! Whether you’re a homeowner or renter, community solar is a great solar renewable energy alternative that helps you and the environment.
