Terms and Conditions
Participation in and use of the Clearway Community Solar LLC Refer-a-Friend program (“Program“) is subject to the following Terms and Conditions (“Program Terms“). Capitalized terms not defined in these Program Terms are defined in our Terms of Use. The Program pertains specifically to existing Clearway Community Solar LLC residential customers (“Participant(s)“) referring new qualified residential customers (“Qualified Customer(s)“), within six (6) months of program invitation email, in the USA where Clearway Community Solar LLC (“Clearway”) offers service. If you do not agree to all of the Program Terms, you may not participate in the Program. When we revise these Program Terms, we will post the revised version on the Clearway website. You are free to decide whether or not to accept a revised version of these Program Terms, but accepting these Program Terms, as revised, is required for you to continue participating in the Program. If you do not agree to these Program Terms or any revised version of these Program Terms, your sole recourse is to terminate your participation in the Program. Participants in the Refer-a-Friend Program
Participants must be in good standing to be eligible to participate in the Program. To be considered in good standing, the Participant must have an account with Clearway, remain current on all payments, and agree our Terms of Use, including these Program Terms and our Privacy Policy. By participating in the Program, you consent to delivery of all Program-related notices and information by email to the email address you have registered for your Clearway account and acknowledge that you have the necessary equipment (hardware and software) to receive and read such emails. You will send referral emails only to people you know and will not engage in any activity that may be considered fraudulent or invasive or that may be considered spamming. You cannot earn a reward for those who currently are Clearway customers or for individuals who have been referred by someone else. Due to the confidential nature of the enrollment approval and qualification process, you will not be notified whether we approve or decline any application(s) from individual(s) you refer. Those you refer may not receive the referral e-mail if they have previously “opted out” of receiving e-mail marketing communications from Clearway. You may stop participating in the Program at any time by contacting us at communitysolarsales@clearwayenergy.com.
Qualified Referrals and Rewards
For purposes of the Program, a Qualified Customer must be a new Clearway customer that signs up using Clearway’s online enrollment channel or with one of our inside sales team members at 1.866.520.2711 after the date the Participant became a customer of Clearway. Only Participants and Qualified Customers are eligible for rewards. In addition, a Qualified Customer must satisfy all Clearway’s enrollment requirements including: a) enroll with Clearway and provide a valid Participant’s name as the referral ID at the time of application and b) must complete on time payment in full for their first Clearway invoice, and c) Qualified Customers in Illinois must maintain electric supply on the utility default supply rate. Subject to solar farm availability. Eligible Participants and Qualified Customers within serviceable territories will receive their reward for participation in the Program in the form of a $100 Clearway bill credit with no cash value. The reward amount of such bill credit will be determined based upon Clearway’s current offer at the time of the Qualified Customer’s enrollment with Clearway. Please refer to the Clearway Community Solar Refer-a-Friend Program page for up-to-date information regarding Clearway’s current offer. By participating in the Program, you agree that Clearway shall make the final determination as to whether a Participant or Qualified Customer meets all requirements to be considered a Participant or Qualified Customer. Please allow up to 6 weeks for delivery of the bill credit after the Qualified Customer becomes a Clearway Community Solar Customer and has completed payment on their first Clearway invoice.
Trademarks
Other than with respect to materials provided in connection with your participation in the Program, your status as a Participant or Qualified Customer in the Program does not entitle you to use any trademarks, copyrighted materials, patents, names, logos or other intellectual property owned or licensed by Clearway, its parent or affiliates.
Restrictions and Limitations
We reserve the right to terminate a Participant’s and/or Qualified Customer’s participation in the Program or cancel the Program at any time for any reason or no reason, to the extent permitted by law. The amount Clearway is offering may be changed by Clearway at any time prior to enrollment of a Qualified Customer with notice posted on the Clearway website for Participants and Qualified Customers. We reserve the right to investigate any suspicious or inappropriate activity relating to the Program. Notwithstanding any provision of these Program Terms, we are not obligated to pay any reward if we determine, in our sole discretion, that (a) the sign-up process completed by a Qualified Customer is not a bona fide transaction, including, without limitation, if you use submit a duplicate reward; (b) you have engaged in any fraudulent or deceitful behavior in connection with the Program, including, without limitation, if you, directly or indirectly, offer any person a financial or other incentive or attempt to redirect traffic from or divert rewards from, any other Participant in the Program; or (c) use of any mass marketing. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to delay payment of any reward while we investigate your participation in the Program.
Non-Exclusive
The Program is non-exclusive. You acknowledge and agree that we may, at any time, solicit customer referrals via any method in our sole discretion.
Other Terms and Conditions
These Program Terms are in addition to and do not in any way limit or alter Clearway’s website terms or other terms and conditions or agreements pursuant to which Clearway allows you to participate in the Program and/or use the Clearway website or your online customer portal. Offer void where prohibited by law. Employees or former employees of Clearway or its parent or affiliates and any agents selling on behalf of Clearway are prohibited from participating in the Program. Cannot be combined with any other offer, including separate referral agreements.
